Fine pleated fabric with checked print in blue, pink and green on a black background. This fabric is also available without pleats, so you can combine it with a blouse or make a dress out of it.

This fabric must be used in counter thread. The selvedge is used as the hem.

You can cut the fabric in two in the middle, then you have two equal pieces of approximately 70cm. This is then the maximum length. You need twice the amout for a long skirt. 

To know how much fabric you need, take at least the circumference of your hips with extra fabric for frowning. How much you determine yourself, of course, but a guideline is 30 to 40% extra. 

For example: I want a pleated skirt with half length (so max 70cm). My hip circumference is 105cm. I take an extra 35%, about 140cm. You then divide that by two, so 70 cm of fabric.
