A nice straight fit, not too wide or too short, with stitched pleats at the front and the choice to spice up the back with a pleated seam... a dream coat, that's Pilar!
The pattern goes from size 34 to 52.
This is an English paper pattern. You will receive a radar sheet and work description in English.
The seam allowances are included in the pattern pieces.
Supplies
- Fabric (width 140 cm): 150 cm for sizes 34 to 38 - 165 cm for sizes 40 to 44 - 180 cm for sizes 46 to 48 - 190 cm for sizes 50 to 52
- 11 buttons from 15 to 20 mm (you can choose real jeans buttons, fabric covered buttons, buttons with holes, etc.)
- If you are using a lighter fabric than denim, iron interfacing onto one of the collar pieces, the facing, the flaps, half of the cuffs and the waistband (about 100 cm of eg G700).
- Matching sewing thread
You can of course make Pilar in a denim fabric, but also in a medium-weight wool, a beautiful jacquard or gabardine. Go for fabrics with a weight of about 350 g/m2.
Difficulty: average.
The technical aspects of this pattern include attaching the collar, making the pleat, the accuracy of the stitching of the darts on the front of the jacket and the topstitching.
